We are currently seeking an experienced Port Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of the port equipment, including heavy vehicles, refrigerated containers (reefers) and chassis to ensure seamless port operations and safety compliance
.Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic checks, and repairs on port vehicles, chassis, and reefer units.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems on container reefers and heavy equipment.
- Conduct regular chassis inspections to ensure structural integrity and roadworthiness according to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory requests for replacement parts.
- Ensure strict adherence to port safety regulations, guidelines, and environmental protection rules. Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; vocational training in diesel mechanics or refrigeration preferred.
- Proven experience servicing port machinery, vehicles, chassis, and reefer units.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Valid driver's license. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
